G.B. Samuelson’s sons attend our EYE event

Our Silent Preservation Premieres event will take place tomorrow, Thursday 8 September. We are delighted that Sydney and David Samuelson, sons of the British cinema pioneer G.B. Samuelson, will be joining us for the screening of their father’s recently rediscovered film The Unwanted, and that David will say a few words of introduction. Do come along too!

The Cinema Museum Receives Happy Museum Award

The Cinema Museum is delighted to have been granted a Happy Museum Award for our Community Curators project, one of six such awards made to museums and galleries nationally as part of a groundbreaking programme to see how museums can create new civic spaces to help society transition to a high well-being, more sustainable world.
