This fundraising event for the museum will start with a screening of Andrew and Jeremy Get Married (2004), an extraordinary documentary following author Jeremy Trafford as he plans for his commitment ceremony.
An interview between Mark Egerton and Jeremy will examine the making of the documentary and his career as a novelist.
Jeremy’s new novel, The Assassins, released on November 8th, is set in contemporary India. It starts with the assassination of a fictional politician campaigning against corruption. In the course of a story of terrorism and inter-racial love, both straight and gay, it concerns such crucial topical problems as the huge disparity between rich and poor in India, male supremacism and the oppression of women and the need for a larger understanding of Islam and greater accord between Muslims and Hindus.
Doors open at 19.00 for a 19.30 start.
Refreshments will be available in our licenced cafe/bar.
