40th Anniversary screening of Local Hero (1983) on 35mm film

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the opening of Bill Forsyth’s Local Hero (1983), Bill Forsyth’s follow-up to Gregory’s Girl (1981). The film was produced by British film industry stalwart David Puttnam, and had original music from Dire Straits’ Mark Knopfler. Forsyth won the 1984 BAFTA Award for Best Direction.
