Sapphic Cinema & Lesflicks presents Aimee and Jaguar (1999)

Sun 13 Mar 2022 @ 15:30 · Events

Aimee and JaguarSapphic Cinema and Lesflicks have joined forces to bring you a new monthly film night dedicated to celebrating the best of Lesbian Cinema.

We kick off our season with a special screening of the lesbian classic Aimee and Jaguar (1999), which tells the incredible true story of couple Lilly Wust and Felice Schragenheim during the Second World War.

In 1943, while the Allies are bombing Berlin and the Gestapo is purging the capital of Jews, a dangerous love affair blossoms between two women. One of them, Lilly Wust, married and the mother of four sons, enjoys the privileges of her stature as an exemplar of Nazi motherhood. For her, this affair will be the most decisive experience of her life. For the other woman, Felice Schragenheim, a Jewish woman and member of the underground, their love fuels her with the hope that she will survive.

As if this ticket isn’t good enough value for you already; Lesflicks are giving all ticket holders a discount code that will give you 50% off one month’s streaming at lesflicksvod.com AND one month free access to the Lesflicks community amplification network (the LesflicksCAN) where you can chat with other like-minded sapphic movie lovers in their safe space!
