Join Hercules Editions for the launch of A Bargain with the Light: Poems after Lee Miller, by the award-winning poet Jacqueline Saphra.

Saphra has created a heroic crown of sonnets informed by the iconic photographer and surrealist who was the subject of a major retrospective at the Imperial War Museum in 2015. The book includes an introduction by art historian Patricia Allmer, placing the poems in the context of Miller’s extraordinary life and work.

Doors open at 18.30. There will be a reading of the poems at 19.15, which will be accompanied by the images that inspired them, provided by the Lee Miller Archive.
