Stephen Bourne presents an entertaining and informative illustrated talk about some of the gay men who are featured in his latest book, Fighting Proud – The Untold Story of the Gay Men Who Served in Two World Wars.
Fighting Proud includes the stories of many servicemen as well as the wartime experiences of Quentin Crisp, bandleader Ken ‘Snakehips’ Johnson, PC Harry Daley, Noel Coward and the film director Brian Desmond Hurst.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A session and book signing. Copies of the book will be available to buy on the night.
Doors open at 18.30, for a 19.30 start.
