The Ace of HeartsThe Kennington Bioscope is a regular cinema event featuring live accompaniment to silent films that takes place at the Cinema Museum.

The main feature is The Ace of Hearts (1921), directed by Wallace Worsley and starring Lon Chaney, John Bowers and Leatrice Joy. This is the second film made by Worsley and Chaney for Goldwyn Pictures, and based on a book by pulp novelist Gouverneur Morris, the first being The Penalty (1920).

Forrest (Bowers) and Farallone (Chaney) are members of a secret society who plan to murder a wealthy businessman. Both are in love with Lilith (Joy), the only female member of the group. Lilith deals out playing cards to each of the society members. Whoever receives the ace of hearts is to carry out the assassination…
