Madeline Smith in Up Pompeii (1970)

We are delighted that actress Madeline Smith will be opening the bazaar and doing a Q&A at 11.00. Starting out as a model in the 1960s, Madeline appeared in numerous comedy films (including Up Pompeii and Carry On Matron), Hammer horror films (including The Vampire Lovers and Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell) and television series during the 1960s and 1970s, also featuring as a Bond girl in Live and Let Die.

In addition Professor Steve Chibnall from De Montfort University will be giving a fascinating talk on Censorship in the British Cinema of the 1950s.
