Cinema Uncovered: The Truth about the Business – Dudley Sutton

Thu 3 Nov 2011 @ 19:30 · Events

The Boys (1962)

The experiences of a character actor in films are very different from those of the star. Dudley Sutton has performed in over 50 films since 1962 (The Boys), and has just completed his latest (Cockneys vs Zombies) in 2011. He has witnessed disaster and success, desperation and delusion

The Devils (1971)

(usually of grandeur), hope, rage and laughter.  He has worked as far away as Hong Kong and Antigua, as close to home as Cornwall and Chobham Common. Each film has been utterly different – and for each there is a tale to tell…

This promises to be a highly entertaining evening – if dangerously near the knuckle!

Some Career Highlights:

Dudley Sutton played the title role in the first production of Joe Orton’s Entertaining Mr Sloane both in the West End and on Broadway (1964/65). He became a cult figure after starring as gay biker Pete in The Leather Boys (1964).
