The Cinema Museum in association with Rochester Kino presents a series of classic Japanese cinema films. Curated by Nick Walker, who will introduce the film and lead the post-film discussion.

Late Spring (1949), directed by Yasujiro Ozu, and starring Chishu Ryu, Setsuko Hara, Yumeji Tsukioka. We will be screening a 35mm print of this film.

One of the most powerful of Yasujiro Ozu’s family portraits, Late Spring tells the story of a widowed father who feels compelled to marry off his beloved only daughter.

Doors open at 18.30, film starts at 19.30.
