The Passionate PlumberThe UK Buster Keaton Society. Quarterly meeting of the society dedicated to the appreciation of the silent comedian.

The afternoon will include a screening of The Passionate Plumber (1932), the first of three films that he made with Jimmy Durante. Buster’s plumber Elmer Tuttle is enlisted by socialite Patricia Alden to help make her lover jealous. Tuttle hopes that mixing with high society will allow him to promote his invention of a pistol with a target-illuminating light, but he is mistaken for an assassin.

The programme will also include a selection of Keaton shorts and other goodies.

The meeting runs from 4pm to 7pm.
