The London East Asia Film Festival season of films presented at The Cinema Museum continues with the Taiwanese romantic drama The Story of a Small Town (1979), directed by Li Hsing.

In a quiet Taiwanese village, a young woman torn between tradition and desire navigates love, duty, and the weight of family expectation. Against a backdrop of changing times, small-town gossip and unspoken longings shape her choices. The film paints a tender yet bittersweet portrait of rural life and emotional awakening.
