Swallows and AmazonsThis year is the 50th anniversary of the much loved movie, based on Arthur Ransome’s childrens classic. Directed by Claude Whatham, with a screenplay by David Wood, Swallows and Amazons tells the story of the four Walker children on holiday in the Lake District in 1929.
