Cinema Museum Anniversary Celebration

February 2021 · News

COVID put paid to the Museum’s 2021 ‘thank you friends and neighbours’ Anniversary do. So, instead, we made a lovely 7 minute film; have a sale on; and are running a fundraiser for two charities and a local artist. We worked with photographer Francesco Zavattari and composer/musician Neil Brand to create the film; its short, sweet and lovely.

The Museum uses its assets to support the people of Lambeth and Southwark – particularly the: elderly; disabled; LGBTQ+ community; families; ethnic minority groups; and local artists. To celebrate 23 years at The Master’s House we’ll match £ for £, every quid donated to the below causes, to a ceiling of £750.00, before midnight on March 1st.

• Age UK Lambeth support older people to live enriched, productive and purposeful lives. Our older citizens gave us life, brought us up, paid their taxes and kept the world turning – we want to show them our love and respect https://bit.ly/3pdVcGX
• The Albert Kennedy Trust (akt) supports LGBTQ+ young people aged 16-25 who face or experience homelessness or are living in a hostile environment. Our younger citizens are our future – we want them to feel valued, encouraged and hopeful https://www.akt.org.uk/donate/donate/5
• Neil Brand is a local English dramatist, composer, author and pianist – he gets no government support, despite having lost his main income streams. Artists give our world joy – we want to ensure that we don’t emerge from COVID into a world without musicians https://gofund.me/e56787a4

AND the profits of all you buy from us until the end of February will be used to support those causes. We have loads of goodies from vintage posters
to Museum accessories so get spending and get donating!
