As part of their fundraising campaign, the South Social Film Festival are holding a fundraising event.
ADOPT A DIVERSE FESTIVAL
Special first anniversary event! We will open with the funky London Klezmer trio, followed by the powerful band of COLOMBOLOCO, soft hues of Brazilian melodies from André Luis Santos, cool songwriter MIRI, wicked rapping session with J’R’ Josephs, Muntu Valdo will be tuning his SAWABLUES. Expect also a jam session with the Portuguese singer Susana Silva, Sirishkumar Manji (master of Indian tabla), Peyman Heydarian, (Persian santur player) and Sergio Camassa, (Italian double bass).
A total line up of 10 world musicians coming for a jam session to support the festival plus the screening of Mali Blues (2016), with Fatoumata Diawara, and a delicious West African cuisine by Tokunbos’ kitchen, a Nigerian chef.
