Screenings of Love Hard (2014)

Thu 1 Oct 2015 @ 18:00 · Events

Love HardLove Hard (2014) is a work of docu-portraiture about BDSM and intimacy. In its inquiry into the loves and lives of 5 subjects, it presents nuanced, diverse, and thoughtful perspectives on how kink can function in our lives – as a practice of art or intimacy, as a mode of expression or release, as an iteration or an obliteration of self, as a way to play, a way to fuck, a way to love, a way to be ordinary.

The film had its world premiere at the 2015 Pornfilmfestival Berlin, and has since been screening around the world, collecting the occasional accolade, including its selection as Hottest Kink Film at the 2015 The Feminist P*rn Awards. This is the film’s first London screening, and we’re excited to be able to present it at the iconic Cinema Museum.

The film’s producer and co-director, Gala Vanting of Sensate Films, will be joining us after the screening for a discussion about the film and some of the issues it raises. There will be time for audience Q&A as well.

Please note that there are two screenings for this film: 18.00 – 19.30 and 20.00 – 21.30. Be sure to purchase a ticket for the session time you want.
