Rory KinnearAs you can see, this was a star-studded event, with many star names present. Roy’s son Rory gave an overview of Roy’s life and career in films, with many glorious film extracts as illustration. In the second half of the evening, Brian Sibley interviewed Brian Murphy about Roy’s time with Joan Littlewood’s Theatre Workshop at Stratford East, Sheila Hancock about her work with Roy at the National Theatre, and George Layton about working with Roy in television and panto and their long-lasting friendship.
