BSFF screening: The Yellow Claw/Hobson’s Choice + rarities

Sat 20 Apr 2013 @ 10:00 - 20:00 · Events

In lieu of this year’s British Silent Film Festival the BSFF and the Cinema Museum present an all-day programme of rarities from the BFI National Archive and friends.

Sensation seeking is our theme, in narcotic-fuelled, oriental mode, with full surviving fragments of Cocaine and The Monkey’s Paw, complete features, The Yellow Claw and the ever popular rare shorts strand.

Also there will be the 21st century premiere of the 1920 Hobson’s Choice, a genuinely good silent adaptation of the Harold Brighouse classic made famous by David Lean.

Doors open at 10.00 for a 10.30 start. Cafe/bar.
