Exotic Europe: The Past in the Present, Film Screening and Q&A

The Cinema Museum is screening a selection of specially restored archive short films from the Exotic Europe project, portraying Europe between 1909 and 1921, accompanied by specially commissioned 2010 filmĀ responses from students of the London Film School. The student filmmakers will be present following the screenings for a Q&A:

  • Alexandru Gherman (Romania): Romanian Monasteries
  • Rebecca Marshall (Hastings, UK): Pirates
  • Nicola Sersale (Italy): A Short Trip to Venice
  • Aristotelis Maragkos (Greece): The Bathers
  • Fateme Ahmadi (Iran): West London
  • Nataasha van Kampen (UK): The Visitor

The event is jointly coordinated by the Cinema Museum, the London Film School, London International Documentary Festival and Film Education, and supported by the European Commission in the UK.
