Helping the Cineroleum

In the summer of 2010 the Cinema Museum lent a helping hand to the Cineroleum, a collective of young artists, designers and architects committed to the creative re-use of urban spaces. A derelict petrol station on Clerkenwell Road was transformed into a hand-built cinema, celebrating the extravagance and ceremony of the picture palace – and featuring several original cinema seats from the Museum.
