Thu 6 Oct 2022 @ 19:30 · Events

NotoriousGovernment agent T. R. Devlin (Cary Grant) enlists Alicia Huberman (Ingrid Bergman), the daughter of a convicted spy, to infiltrate a group of Nazis in Rio de Janeiro and seduce Alex Sebastian (Claude Rains). But things take a turn for the worse, as Devlin and Alicia fall in love. This was Hecht’s last nomination, and one of his many, many writing credits after a lustrous career in Hollywood going all the way back to the 1920s.

Screenplay By is hosted by screenwriter, playwright and film blogger Carol Saint Martin and it focuses on the screenwriters and storytellers behind some of the greatest films ever made and their stories.

Doors open at 18.30, and the film starts at 19.30.

Refreshments will be available in our licensed cafe/bar.
