Southwark CathedralSouthwark Cathedral are putting on some paying and free history talks in February, March and April.

A series of talks called Southwark Stories – the Wrong Side of the River take place on 16th February, 23 February and 2nd March from 19.00 to 21.00 and cost £7 per talk.

On 16th March Neil Bright is giving a talk about the Borough in the Blitz. This will run from 19.00 to 21.00. More information in the link below. Tickets are free!

On 20th April, Jerry White is talking about the Marshalsea Prison. This will run from 19.00 to 21.00. More information in the link below. Tickets are free!

There is also have an exciting event called Stories of London – a day of talks about London’s history, to be held on 29th April and runninng from 10.00 to 17.00.  Ted Sandling will talk about Mudlarking, Matt Beaumont will look at London at Night, Gillian Tindall will explore Crossrail and finally Stephen Alford will talk about the merchant adventurers in Tudor London. Tickets are £10.
