South Social meets Jewish culture

Sat 18 Mar 2017 @ 18:00 · Events

Through the WallSouth Social presents Through the Wall (2016), also known as The Wedding Plan and Laavor et Hakir, directed by Rama Burshtein. Diversity in religion, gender, country and mentality. How much do you know about ultra-Orthodox Jews? This is the right time to find out. Using a universal topic such as wedding, dating and all the rules that go with it.

Michal (Noa Kooler), an Hassidic girl trusts that God will find her a husband. The heart is a lonely hunter in Through the Wall, a romantic comedy that transfers elements of a typical Bridget Jones romp to an ultra-Orthodox Jewish setting. The result is a plaintive, melancholy offering that has enough of a feel-good factor to tempt the incurably romantic.

Expect a soulful night of live Jewish music with TANTZ trio and last but not least, a foodie paradise of Jewish cuisine.
