Possessed (1931) is a pre-code drama film produced by MGM. Starring Joan Crawford, Clark Gable and Wallace Ford, Possessed is directed by Clarence Brown. It is the third of eight films that paired Gable and Crawford.

Crawford plays a factory worker who escapes her small-time existence and dependable boyfriend (Ford), and moves to New York, where she becomes the mistress of a wealthy attorney (Gable). This relationship becomes a potential liability when Gable’s character runs for political office.
