A Day In The Lives Of Frankie AbbottWhat happens when a fantasist with a fading memory recalls events from years ago? Frankie Abbott, now in a care home, remembers a version of his past with help from one of his carers. The fun starts as the mother-smothered, big talking buffoon reverts to a past littered with guns, girls and gangsters.

A comedy by David Barry, starring David Barry and Linda Regan.

Barry played Frankie Abbott, (the gum-chewing mother’s boy who was convinced he was extremely tough), in the LWT sitcom Please Sir! and the spin-off series The Fenn Street Gang.

A Day In The Lives Of Frankie AbbottHe also appeared in two TV spin-off movies: Please Sir! (1971) and George and Mildred (1980).

David is now an author with three novels, Each Man Kills, Flashback and Willie The Actor. He currently lives in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

This will be the first time that David has reprised his role of Frankie in over 40 years.

 

A Day In The Lives Of Frankie AbbottLinda Regan has appeared in television and film. She is best known for her role as Yellow Coat April, the girlfriend of Spike in the holiday camp sitcom Hi-de-Hi!.

Linda is now a crime writer and has published many successful novels including Passion Killers, Behind You and her newest novel Guts For Garters.
