The Cinema Museum, London

Palace of Varieties

Sat 10 May 2014 @ 19:30 · Events

Inspired by the resplendent if now forgotten music hall memoirs of Camberwell (one time suburban epicentre of gin soaked revelry), the next highly anticipated Palace of Varieties will return to The Cinema Museum in Kennington following their recent sell out show in February. The Music Hall revivalists and impresarios have pulled out all the stops to put together another stellar line up of acts from the modern day Cabaret circuit.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please raise your glasses as we introduce a new host for the Palace of Varieties, the very charming and everybody’s favourite rogue, Mr Champagne Charlie. Joining our dapper dude on stage will be a very lively and exciting accompaniment comprising of Tina T’urner Tea Lady (recently voted best newcomer at the 2014 Cabaret Awards), the pulsating cadences of Mr Don Tempi (back by popular demand), the surreal and unhinged clown of many parts Chris Lynam, the deadpan musical comedy genius of Laurence Owen and the unpredictable and genuinely surprising brilliance of The Winner Of Baghdad’s Got Talent.
