The Kennington Bioscope is a regular cinema event that takes place at the Cinema Museum.

Admission is free but it is a private screening.

Mare NostrumThe main feature will be Rex Ingram’s Mare Nostrum (1926) based on the novel by Vincente Blasco Ibanez who also wrote The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The film stars Alice Terry and Antonio Moreno. Shot on location in Europe Mare Nostrum has an impressive look filled with the rich attention to detail that director Rex Ingram and cameraman George Seitz, who also together filmed Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (1921), excelled at. This will be a 35mm showing, with accompanying 16mm shorts.

This screening will be introduced by Kevin Brownlow.
