Smouldering FiresThe Kennington Bioscope is a regular cinema event that takes place at the Cinema Museum.

Film historian, author, filmmaker and rescuer of silent film history Kevin Brownlow returns to present Clarence Brown’s Smouldering Fires (1925) starring Pauline Frederick and Laura La Plante.

Dorothy Vale, a domineering and successful businesswoman, falls in love with Robert Elliott, a young man employed in her factory. He in turn falls for Dorothy, Vale’s younger sister.

Clarence Brown directed The Goose Woman (1925) and The Eagle (1925) starring Rudolph Valentino.
