The Greatest Variety Show Ever

Thu 12 Dec 2013 @ 19:30 · Events

Imagine a variety show that could include in its cast any of the greatest entertainers of the twentieth century – who would be on the bill?

Terry Sanderson has scoured the vaults of every branch of show business to bring the very best artistes into one great evening’s entertainment.

These are the crème de la crème: singers, dancers, magicians, circus, ballet, opera, comedy, film and television – and some eye-popping speciality acts from the golden days of the variety theatre.

From Frank Sinatra to Liberace, from Laurel and Hardy to Judy Garland we have them all. Hear the little sparrow of Paris, Edith Piaf, pouring out her heart in song, feel the hairs on the back of your neck prickle as Roy Orbison is joined by Bruce Springsteen and Elvis Costello to jam a version of Pretty Woman.

One fantastic treat follows another in this stupendous celebration of talent and entertainment from seven decades. It’s like no other variety show could ever be.

Doors open at 18.30 for a 19.30 start.

Refreshments will be available in our licenced cafe/bar.
